Principal Master Teacher

Mr Subramaniam Nadaison was a Master Teacher for Tamil Language from 2012 to 2022 in the Academy of Singapore Teachers. Since 2023, he has been appointed as a Principal Master Teacher. He played a key role in supporting schools in the planning and implementation of holistic assessment and contributed to two major Tamil Language reviews at the national level in 2006 and in 2010. In 2003, he was awarded the Outstanding Resource Teacher Award. In 2006, he received the MOE Postgraduate Scholarship. His book Creative Writing, Positive Affect and Formative Assessment was published in 2010. Subramaniam led several pedagogical-based book publication projects focusing on extensive reading, creative teaching, spoken interaction skills, Tamil cultural literacy, learning through play and effective lesson planning relating to micro-skills and success criteria. Subramaniam believes firmly that education should nurture every child to think, feel and act wisely and positively in life to serve others and the nation in a meaningful way. He actively involves his fellow Tamil teachers in several community-based projects to promote the use of Tamil Language and culture particularly amongst the Tamil youths and the community at large
